Julia Hellman-Gindi, CCDC, is a certified substance abuse counselor in the state of California. She created Sober House Calls with the goal of giving addicts the tools necessary to overcome their addiction in the privacy and comfort of their own homes.
Julia saw this essential need as she came across many addicts who truly desired to master their addictions, but were unable to process and communicate their specific situations in a public forum.
By going to people’s homes to counsel them, Julia has provided a revolutionary venue for addicts to receive assistance in the privacy of their own homes.
Julia’s work as a credentialed counselor in the recovery field includes:
Four years of counseling at a detox recovery hospital
Developing an understanding of how to work with patients with both alcohol and drug addictions
Years of experience counseling individuals on a one-on-one basis, as well as in group sessions
Building a very successful track record in counseling clients
In helping others combat their addictions, Julia treats addiction as a physical disease.
She believes that all individuals have the power to achieve their goals in the recovery process, but sometimes they just need a push in the right direction.
